Club Day at Ruapuna - 21 June 2020
This was our first race meeting and first at our home club since starting into hard track racing this season. Had an awesome day racing against 31 very different racing saloons from Minis and Anglias right thru to BMW's and a wickedly quick McLaren.
I qualified 15th and had a best race finish of 11th with a personal best lap time of 1min 44sec which isn't too shabby for a ute I guess! Had some real good races with a quick BMW and a V8 Commodore.
No issues with 811 capped off the day nicely and a huge thanks goes out to all volunteers at the club plus to the helpers and visitors we had in the 811 pit today.
Next meeting for our 811 V8 Ute is back up to Hampton Downs for the final round of the 2020 NZ V8
Ute Championship. This is now re-scheduled for 4th-6th September and I'm gonna try for a Top 10 finish overall.
