Mag and Turbo Round 4

Our 811 Dodge Challenger got a great workout over the weekend. Thanks heaps to all the crew, friends and family members for the support during the day for the final round of the Mag & Turbo Series.
I took a risk running old tyres to start the day which cost us dearly in qualifying and the first race. We turned things round once we bolted on some better rubber gaining us 2nd place in the next race. This put us off the front row for the final but we missed pit exit by 2 seconds due to chasing a radio comms issue.
Starting from pit lane was a new experience for me and it was mentioned the black strips and tyre smoke thru 3 gears was impressive. Managed a few good passes progressing up the field and lap times improved immensely compared to earlier in the day.
I imagine we have finished in the top 3 overall in the series and 1st in our class so very stoked considering it was our debut season in the new car. Plus we even created a new fan giving away a Mopar team t-shirt.
The team will be busy over winter ensuring 811 is 100% ready to race for next season.Plus some more good news with Casey racing the Production Saloon in Ashburton's NZ Champs snatching 6th overall on day 1 then winning the Best Pairs on day 2. Great Stuff !!!
